A student of design, Japanese culture, and dressmaking, Yuka is passionate about incorporating cultural elements such as costumes, decoration, kimonos, and traditional Japanese patterns in her designs, respecting tradition while adding her own interpretation to create pieces both modernistic and timeless.

Remaking kimonos into new garments is another of her specialties, and by presenting the allure of kimonos from a different angle, she hopes to make her own contribution to Japanese culture.
