Experimenting with stocking fabric in 1992, Melbourne designer Melma Hamersfeld transformed a stretchy piece of material into a body wear concept that became the Metalicus fashion brand. 

In 2005 the PAS Group acquired Metalicus, from here its core focus evolved to become a lifestyle brand known for technical ingenuity, with a pared back and modern aesthetic. Since then Metalicus has grown a strong retail presence both offline and online. Today Metalicus has over 30 stand-alone stores, 13 Myer Concessions and over 350 Stockists in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.
