Meet Toronto Born Designer Rachelle Anne Roy

admin Blog, Designer

Rachelle Anne Roy, founder of Rachel Anne Wear (RAW) comes to the Fall/Winter 2017 showing of VFW, to present a collection that is just as unique and visually stunning as her last, moving away from her previous concept in FIRE with her newest collection titled ICE! “All of my collections have to do with the natural elements, as my goal is to break fashion down to its most fundamental parts and reconstruct it into something new. Something bold. Something RAW.” says Rachelle Roy.  Her design style mixes urban street-wear with high-fashion luxury, creating something entirely original that is both fashionable and functional to wear.

ANSWER ALL 3

  • Name one person who has contributed to your success?

My mother Kimberley Roy has helped to my success by keeping me positive, grounded, and providing free help where needed (Ex. Getting business cards printed, event cards, website help, email and submission help for grants etc.)

  • If you could dress anyone, who would it be?

Shay Mitchell 100%. She’s a Canadian actress who’s from Vancouver, BC. She has such a positive outlook on life and following dreams; she partially inspired me to go for my dreams. Not only do I think she’s a great person and role model, she has a wicked style too and I’d love to dress her because of it!
