Ivette Alaniz was born in Tijuana, Baja California in 1973. She began her studies at the Institute Yannem in Tijuana BC in haute couture. She then continued onto IBERO Mexican Fashion Design in Mexico City, as a designer of haute couture in 1997. Thanks to Alaniz’s talent, she became the first to win the contest models IMTA Convention in New York as an international designer in 1993 at the age of 17.
In 1999, she created the company Ivette Alaniz Design and Image Couture and, in the same year, she won Costume Contest for Nuestra Belleza de B.C. In 2000, she worked for the remake of the film Titanic-Ghosts of the Abyss. As a result, she became the official designer for Nuestra Belleza B. C, in ballgowns, cocktail dresses and costumes in the years 2007- 2012.
In 2008, she showed her collection internationally at San Diego Fashion Week. Also, she is the official designer for Charlie’s Angels Productions Series Baja.
She came First in traditional outfits category in Ecuador and Costa Rica in 2011 and 2013. After that, she participated in the First Fashion Show Mexicana (Mexcat) in Palau Robert, Barcelona in 2013 while being part of one of the twenty most prestigious contemporary Mexican designers.
Thanks to her dedication, Alaniz has worked with Mexican actors like Angelica Aragon, Patricia Manterola. Internationally, she has worked with Rosalyn Sanchez, Daisy Fuentes, Sandra Vidal, Magaly Caicedo, who are the main actors in the film Titanic.
A mix of textures, elegance and sensuality, is what has defined Ivette Alaniz along her path.
