Parisa is a Dubai based fashion designer. She graduated from Esmod Dubai French Fashion University. Combining an interest in anime, manga comics and clothing construction inspired her to make avant-garde experimental garments. Playing with colors is the highlight in much of her work, mostly manifesting playfulness and innocence. The story behind Parisa’s collection at Vancouver Fashion Week is about an abandoned child who suffers from schizophrenia; seeing imaginary creatures and having colorful hallucinations. On every garment there is an imaginary friend hand crafted by Parisa with portrait embroideries and textile works.
