Albuquerque based designer Elana “Lennon” Wallach is debuting at Vancouver Fashion Week 2017 as a new and upcoming name in fashion. Just sixteen years old, Elana often claims that fashion “saved her life” as she discovered the beauty in expressing difference. Determined to reinvent confidence in young girls everywhere, Elennon Designs is designed with the intention of making the “weird” feel wonderful.
Her Fall/Winter collection of minimalist juxtapositions highlight a stunning contrast between vintage/art deco fashions and edgy street style. Titled Polychrome, the collection was inspired by the common square, the structure and volume of traditional japanese fashions, and the intricacy of vintage designs. She draws the funky, punk aspects from these unusually beautiful inspirations to create a truly innovative and unique vibe.
