Imaginative, eco friendly womens clothing all handmade in Brooklyn, NY. Each piece is one of kind—from the textile, down to the seam finishing. With dreamlike crochet shapes and sunprinted silks, these pieces are created for the curious woman to love.
Amalya began her education at London’s Central St. Martin’s, studying Textile Design. Her diverse interests led her back to New York and to the New School, as a dual-degree (BFA/BA) student. She graduated from Parsons with a degree in Fashion Design and from Eugene Lang with a degree in Liberal Arts, after designing her own major, Perception Studies. During her time as a student, Amalya also explored the world of costuming through positions in Boston and San Francisco. She continues to pursue this interest—most recently by designing and creating costumes for the original production “The Secret Paris Project” at Long Island City’s Secret Theater.
Experimental and collaborative in her design, Amalya approaches clothing as wearable sculpture. Her work marries beauty and grit; the polished and exquisitely unrefined through constant exploration with fabric manipulation, silhouette and upcycling.
